Class - Serti Batik Premium Level
2 day class / Tues & Thurs (1:30 - 4:30)
Only 2 student capacity.
The Premium Level will bring your finished Batiks into products.
1. Textile products / Home Furnishing items / Sewing Yardage...etc.
2. Paper Products / Cards / Art Paper / Wall Paper / Posters / Paper Prints...etc.
How do we do all this in just 2 days. Here is a quick summary.
You will learn the textile dye and resist technique called "Serti Batik". A design or two will be finished in the 6 hrs of class time. The piece chosen will be scanned and a digital file will be made. The original finished Serti Batik piece you made will be wrapped and mounted on a padded frame. The digital files will be put into a workable format by Suz to be used for both textile and paper items. I have priced out the Textile piece to be a Fat Quarter and the paper to be 5 cards/envelopes. These items are included in the supply cost as is the time needed to format the digital files as well as the scanning fees plus the frame/batting for the original piece created.
Now here is where it can get more complex. We can take your digital file and do yardage of textiles or paper calendars or journals just throwing out a few more ideas. Prices will need to be adjusted but so many possibilities can be done. Hence why this is a Premium Level.
