Charm Bracelets

Charm Bracelets

The use of charms bracelets dates back to over 30,000 years ago. The first charms were intricately carved in to mammoth tusks. During the pre-historic era, charms were made of shells animal bones and clay. In later years, we began to use gems, rocks and wood to create charms.

Initially charms were worn as amulets and then as years went by, the began to stand for other things. it was in the 1920's that charms took on a new look and were made with platinum and gemstones. They also took a new place on the fashion roster.  People wear charms for an unbelievable amount of reasons. For luck. For remembrance. Some people collect charms on their travels. Some collect them to mark life's milestones.

This month we are introducing two new colors, Mist and Sky, to our own charm bracelet kit, Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life is a beautiful bracelet.  Perfect for Autumn, with the primary charms being trees and leaves. September Birthstone is the sapphire. Sky is a great option for a September birthday. Make the bracelet as is or add your own charms to create something new. Mist is perfect for those October birthdays, as tourmaline is the October birth stone.

Some people prefer just a few charms while some people want a ton. Customize it, and make it yours. Often women like charms that symbolize their children. Perhaps add the birthstone of each. Once you have perfected your wire wrapping technique (instructions with the kit), you're options are endless.

"Good memories are like charms.... Each is special. You collect them, one by one, until one day you look back and discover they make a long colorful bracelet."

-James Patterson
