Teaching Module with Shattuck St-Mary's Students

Glass Garden Beads is working with Shattuck-St. Mary's students to do 1 day business experiences. Two teaching modules have been scheduled for this spring: Wednesday - February 14 from 11am to 5pm  and March 28th from 11am - 5pm.

The Teaching Module is titled "Product Design and Marketing of Bead Kits"

Steps the students go through:

  1. Create a concept for finished jewelry to be made into a bead kit.
  2. Make the prototype of the concept using materials within the bead shop.
  3. Record a kit recipe
  4. Price the item including the packaging
  5. Assemble the kits

Glass Garden Beads will use the student's notes and prototypes to create diagram directions and launch the kits on the Glass Garden Beads Website. Also Glass Garden Beads will be donating 50% of the profits from the sale of kits back to the Module program at Shattuck St-Mary's.

Here are the prototypes of the finished jewelry which will be launched Wednesday, February 23rd.
