October’s Teaching Tuesdays with Suz is all about sparkle! With the holidays just around the corner, join Suz to learn how to create a beautiful beadwork featuring Swarovski® crystals and seed beads.

This month, you’ll explore off-loom bead stitching (bead weaving) using picot with elements of right-angle weave to create a sparkling project perfect for the holiday season—or any time you want a little extra shine.

What You’ll Learn

Suz will guide you through the techniques needed to begin and work through your crystal project, including:

• Off-loom bead stitching/bead weaving
• Picot stitching
• Elements of right-angle weave
• Working with crystals and seed beads
• Reading and following the project instructions
• Tips for maintaining tension and creating a beautiful finished piece

Please Note: This Is NOT a Stringing Project

This project is created by stitching beads together with a needle and thread. You will learn bead-weaving techniques rather than simply stringing beads onto a cord or wire.

Teaching Fee

$12 per person for group instruction

Teaching fees are nonrefundable.

Supply Fee: $58.60 (estimated on an 8-inch finished bracelet size)

Supplies are purchased separately, allowing you to choose your own crystal-and-seed-bead combination.

****NO outside supplies are allowed for these classes.

How Much Time Should I Plan?

🕒 3 hours: Gives you a good start on your project and an opportunity to learn the stitch.

🕕 6 hours: Depending on your stitching pace, 6 hours may be enough to complete your project.

Teaching Tuesdays are designed to let you learn at your own pace. Come ready to ask questions, practice your stitches, and enjoy some creative time with fellow beaders.

Prefer Individual Instruction?

Private bead-weaving lessons may be scheduled with Suz or Candace for $25 per hour. 

Private lessons are a great option if you are brand new to bead weaving, prefer one-on-one instruction, need extra help with a particular technique, or simply want dedicated time to work through a project.
